Pastor's Anniversary Ad

I personally do not like very much the character of Superman, is one of the most powerful superheroes, but for that reason and not to leave much of a certain line in the normal DCU lately has not had good times at least in my opinion, from what I read in the horrible Grounded.
Some of the moments that I personally considered best for the supes have been in universes alternative example of this Red Son by Mark Millar, Kingdom Come by Alex Ross and Mark Waid and the comic of which I speak today: All Star Superman, written by Grant Morrison and drawn by Frank Quitely.
This story out of official continuity begins with Superman rescuing a mission of scientific exploration and multi-millionaire Quantum Leo Sun, the mission was sabotaged by Lex Luthor who, realizing of aging, now desperately tries to kill the Kryptonian ... and his plan works.
Superman's power comes from the radiation of the earth's yellow sun, which accumulates in cells, being so near the sun, became overloaded and although this caused an increase in strength and new powers, it is causing cell death.
From this story Superman begins to take decisions and embark on the realization of 12 legendary challenges, including resolving the question is unanswered or create life, in addition to travel through time, meet its successors or reach very strange land.
There is also a very interesting use of the secondary characters like Lois who plays an important role in several of the challenges or Jimmy Olsen who with their extravagant costumes provides several points worthy of Jotace Blog and this post particular. Also Quantum Leo's character who is advising the protagonist and tries everything possible to assist you in your challenges and to prevent death or that the land is left unprotected.
And do not forget to mention Lex Luthor, whose obsession with the Kryptonian is explained very well, takes him to surrender, risking death in the electric chair and threaten the life of the land (not exaggerating, really does).
As Superman, we a character who takes precautions around and plan things well besides that accepts his own death but try to make things best for the land, besides his super intelligence that resolves several situations, this is not a comic of "the hero solves all the hits" Superman we have an intellectual, who first think things through and tries to help everyone from his arch enemy to the confused girl who attempts suicide (scene then copy JMS Grounded , but without the emotional impact that this comic done in a single page with 5 frames), to its own people and children earthlings. Superman is a can with everything except his own death.
addition to that soon will the animated version:
This comic was very pleased and I seriously recommend it, it shows that Grant Morrison knows and appreciates the character to put in these situations that lead to the maximum of their abilities, but in a light, with several comedians chispasos (4500D.C as the superman of making an important question for the time Who was J. Lo [Jennifer Lopez] Leopoldo or the baboon) and touching moments as the number devoted to Pa Kent and Frank Quitely besides that presents some drawings and covers very good that convey the sense of epic, as Kal-El circling the Sun in the tomb of Jonathan Kent or earth-cube, in addition to his fight with Luthor in the Metro newspaper and the Quantum project.
I had read the story, but now that I reread purchase the compilation of Editorial Vid, which I recommend if you want to read the story, is at a very affordable price (12 issues come), anti I Practically I have is that what they did was or who had problicado reprint individually and glue them together with all and all, or pick up the copies not sold, stripped and front and back hit by the end of each story comes across the board, and in some a preview of the next issue, besides that and the covers came in and there are very good. There is another recommendation
reading and we read later. Lately
